The Rotary Club of Tacloban welcomes members from diverse professional backgrounds. Whether you are a business owner, a doctor, a lawyer, an educator, or a young professional, there is a place for you in our club.
Types of Membership
Active Member
The standard category of Rotary membership. Active members attend meetings, pay dues, and participate in club projects and activities.
Senior Active Member
Long-standing members who have served Rotary for 15 or more years and are 60 years of age or older may qualify as senior active members with reduced meeting attendance obligations.
Honorary Member
Persons of distinction who may be elected to honorary membership in recognition of distinguished service to Rotary or to society.
Rotaract Member
Young adults aged 18β30 can join through the Rotaract Club of Tacloban β our youth partner organization sponsored by the Rotary Club of Tacloban.
Membership Requirements
To become a Rotarian, a prospective member should generally meet the following qualifications:

Good moral character and a reputable standing in the community.

Active engagement in a business, profession, or community service.

A willingness to give time and effort to club activities and service projects.
4
Endorsement or sponsorship by an existing Rotary member.
5
Attendance at a club meeting as a guest before the formal application.
6
Payment of membership dues and Rotary International fees upon acceptance.
The Membership Process
1
Visit a Meeting
Attend a regular club meeting as a guest of an existing member. Get a feel for the fellowship and the types of projects we undertake.

Express Interest
Inform a Rotarian sponsor of your interest in joining. Your sponsor will guide you through the rest of the process.

Submit Application
Complete the membership application form, which includes your personal information, occupation, and references.
4
Board Review
The club Board of Directors reviews the application. Once approved, your name is posted to the membership for two weeks.
5
Induction Ceremony
Upon successful review, you are formally inducted as a member at a club meeting and presented with your Rotary pin.
6
Orientation
New members receive an orientation on Rotary`s history, programs, the Four-Way Test, and club expectations.
